First cargo train from Russia arrives at Iranian port

A cargo train from Russia arrived at Iran's Aparin Dry Port on Saturday. This marks the first time a cargo train from Russia has reached this Iranian port.
The incident signals the strengthening of bilateral relations between Russia and Iran. At the same time, it is being seen as a major step towards the start of regular train services with Iran, Russia and neighboring countries in Central Asia.The cargo train contains 62 containers. Each container is 40 feet long. They contain paper, pulp and various related products. The train departed from the Russian capital Moscow, about 900 kilometers north of Iran and Iraq.
