US working with Ukraine to reach agreement to end war

After developing a 28-point peace plan with Moscow, Washington is holding round-the-clock talks in Geneva, Switzerland. The US administration is working with Ukraine there to make some more changes to the plan. The country's European allies and US officials met with Ukraine for the first time in Geneva on Sunday.

After the meeting, Washington and Kiev issued a joint statement saying that they had drafted a 'refined peace framework' to stop the war. In the meantime, the issue of the 28-point plan has recently come to the fore. Washington has given Ukraine until next Thursday to accept the plan. However, Kiev and its European allies allege that the plan reflects the Kremlin's will. Zelensky held another meeting with allies on Sunday on the war in Ukraine. Joining the meeting held in Sweden via video link, he said, 'We will continue to work with partners, especially the United States, to reach an agreement. These agreements will not weaken us, but rather make us stronger.The Ukrainian president believes that a decision on how to use seized Russian assets and compensate Russia for war damage is important.
