82 international centuries. More than 27,000 runs in international cricket. Only one person is above Virat Kohli in centuries - the legendary Sachin Tendulkar. Kohli is at number three in the list of highest run-scorers in three formats. Sachin Tendulkar and Kumar Sangakkara have more runs than him. 3. Kohli is the only Indian batsman to have scored seven double centuries in Test cricket. Virender Sehwag and Sachin Tendulkar have six centuries each. 

4. Kohli's 973 runs in the 2016 IPL are still the highest in a single season. He scored four centuries in that tournament. His team, however, lost in the final. 

5. Kohli has earned the highest rating points in Tests as a batsman. The rating points earned by Kohli in 2018 are the highest among Indian batsmen.

7. Kohli is the most successful Test captain in the history of Indian cricket in terms of wins. He has won 40 Tests while leading 68 Tests. MS Dhoni has won the second most Tests with 27. India has also won 9 consecutive Test series under him. 

8. Kohli holds the record of being the fastest to score 10,000 runs in ODIs. He reached the milestone of 10,000 runs in ODI cricket in just 205 innings. It took 10 years and 67 days to achieve this. Kohli is the fastest here too. 

9. Kohli reached the milestone of 27,000 runs in three editions in just 594 innings. 

10. Virat Kohli is the only Indian captain to win two Test series on Australian soil.
