Howard Lutnick denies relationship with Jeffrey Epstein at Senate
Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick told a Senate panel
that he had nothing to hide about his meeting with accused
sex trafficker Jeffrey Epstein,
but one senator said his previous evasive explanations had
damaged his credibility.
Senator Chris Van Hollen, D-Maryland, said Lutnick previously
told Congress that he broke up with his New York townhouse
neighbor in 2005 after Epstein made sexual advances to explain
a massage table in one of his rooms.
But documents released by the Justice Department show
about 10 emails that mention Lutnick, including one that
mentions a lunch on Epstein's private island in the
Caribbean where minors have accused Epstein of abusing them.
